Find Your Finest Hanbang:
Ginseng
The botanical name of ginseng, Panax ginseng, originates from the Greek word panacea, meaning βall-healing.β And Korean ginseng, with its amazing healing and anti-inflammatory properties, earned its popularity throughout the world in the 19th century based on the research of Russian scholar Carl Anton Meyer.
Even though modern scientific research was conducted only about 200 years ago, ginseng was cultivated and widely taken for over 5,000 years in the Korean peninsula and used to cure diseases and increase body temperature. Records from the Goryeo Dynasty describe ginseng as one of the most popular exports, and it is well known that ancient Chinese merchants traded ginseng with high-end silk fabric. Until today, ginseng-infused water, ginseng extract, and even ginseng root have remained common yet luxurious herbal medicines used to help cure inflammation and recover health.
Ginseng infused ingredients are well known for their effectiveness in modern skincare. Ginseng water is clinically proven to energize and give flexibility to the skin, and ginseng root water is especially known to revitalize the skin for anti-aging. It may also reduce edema and skin inflammation.
