However, since skin types and personal sensitivities vary, the level of irritation may differ from person to person. We highly recommend performing a patch test or consulting your dermatologist about the product ingredients before incorporating them into your skincare routine.

Patch test can be done by applying the product to a small patch of skin where you are unlikely to accidentally wash or rub it away. You can wait for a few hours to see if you are allergic to a certain ingredient. Please discontinue using if discomfort or sensitivity occurs.

Beauty of Joseon cosmetics have a shelf life of 3 years from the manufacturing date if unopened (as indicated on the packaging) and 12 months after opening. For optimal results, we recommend using the products within 6-12 months once opened.

To maintain the best condition of our products, please store them at room temperature and avoid exposure to direct sunlight.

Relief Sun : Rice + Probiotics (SPF50+ PA++++) does not contain alcohol-derived ingredients. Fungi in our Relief Sun : Rice + Probiotics (SPF50+ PA++++) are different from the fungi used to produce alcoholic drinks, such as makgeolli or sake.

Teenagers can use our products; however, during the pre-pubescent stage, their skin may be more sensitive due to hormonal changes. Depending on individual skin types and conditions, irritation could occur.

We recommend consulting a physician before introducing any new skincare products. Additionally, caution is advised with products containing retinol, AHA, or BHA, as these ingredients may irritate during this time.

We do not recommend that infants and toddlers under 36 months of age use Beauty of Joseon products, even though there is a low chance of kids getting allergic reactions by using our products. Kids under 36 months of age should use kids' products.

There are cases where the product freeze due to external temperatures, but the product restores itself to the original state, and there is no problem with the stability of the product when it melts at room temperature. Please be cautious when opening the product since the content may spill out due to the expansion of the container.

Also, sediments may float in case oils are included in the ingredients, and please understand that this is a natural phenomenon caused by oil clotting.

Hormone changes during pregnancy can cause problems even with ingredients that were originally not a problem. Breast-feeding women may experience hormonal changes as well. We strongly recommend you consult your doctor before using our products if you are pregnant or breast-feeding.

Also, we do not recommend using Revive Eye Serum : Ginseng + Retinal for pregnant women. Among the ingredients, retinal should be avoided during pregnancy. 

Rice bran water, ginseng root water, ginseng extract, green plum water, propolis, green tea leaf water, and prunus mume flower water are used in our products. Hanbang ingredients are healthy ingredients that have been consumed as medicines and food for a long time and function as excellent skincare ingredients. Every time we make a new skincare product, we first think about Hanbang ingredients suitable for each skin concern. By combining modern ingredients that can create the most synergy, we are making good products worthy of being called a “gift.”

The chemical formulas of sunscreens do break down when it is stored under direct sunlight or excessive heat since sun-protecting ingredients are sensitive to heat. We recommend keeping the sunscreen under a cool and shady area. Storing a sunscreen in a car during summertime should be avoided as well.

All of our products are animal-friendly, except for the following, which contain animal-derived ingredients:

• Glow Serum: Propolis + Niacinamide (contains propolis)
• Revive Serum: Ginseng + Snail Mucin (contains snail mucin)
• Dynasty Cream (contains honey)
• Ground Rice and Honey Glow Mask (contains honey)
• Red Bean Water Gel (contains peptide, partially derived from animals)

Aside from these specific ingredients, no other animal-derived components are used in our products.

Additionally, we regret to inform you that our QR scan application has been suspended due to internal reasons. Consequently, the seal of our product will gradually be phased out, and there will be no products with authentication code seals in the future.
